So, between the two looks which one you liked better? As much as I loved the neat and dapper Zegna look, I’ve to go with the Antar-Agni one. We rarely see Ranbir experiment with his outfits, so this was a delightful treat for us fashion watchers. Plus, he cut an appropriately youthful, spiffy figure in it.

Which one was your favourite? To be honest, I loved all of them! Anil Kapoor and Imran Khan were their usual dapper selves in Raghavendra Rathore, but it was such a welcome sight to see Farhan Akhar and Tiger Shroff clean up and that too so well. Sidharth Malhotra, Aditya Roy Kapur and Mohit Marwah cut wonderfully elegant figures, and we got yet another deftly-assembled subversive desi look from Ranbir Kapoor. Ranbir and Antar-Agni is fast becoming a devastatingly stylish combo!

1) We see him sport OFF-WHITE c/o VIRGIL ABLOH™ a couple more times! He sported the black denim military jacket for a trip to Radio Mirchi headquarters, and the white-black ‘Diagonals’ lo-tops for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil promotions on the sets of Join The Game.

2) Speaking of promotions on the sets of Star Sports’ Join The Game programme, Ranbir wore a Turnbull & Asser number — and I couldn’t be more impressed! The reason being, Turnbull & Asser is one of the oldest gentlemen’s clothiers in the world with the added tag of having a Royal Warrant. Since its establishment in 1885, it has been favoured by illustrious figures, both real and fictional, such as Sir Winston Churchill and James Bond. It doesn’t get anymore select than this, does it? (Before Ranbir, only Imran Khan from Bollywood was spotted in Turnbull & Asser.) Just wish Ranbir had opted for his other Off-White sneakers instead of this pair — it would have made the look even slicker!

3) He sported merchandise from Belstaff’s Spring/Summer’17 collection that is yet to hit the stores, once again. It can’t get any more exclusive than this!

To sum it up, yep, Ranbir has defo proved himself to be the ‘male Sonam Kapoor’ during the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil promotion trail. And his stylists, the fashionable duo of Vainglorious, have a massive role behind this — they seem to have gone to the four corners of the Earth to source stuff for him. Now put your feet up and pour yourselves a drink (or ten!), you two!

When Karan Johar tweeted this photo of Ranbir Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan and Ayan Mukerji on Wednesday, the first thought that went through our heads were: “Boy, does that make for one kick-ass film poster/album cover!” And then the dust settled and it occurred to us how swell Ranbir’s outfit actually was — wanna know why?

It’s because he was sporting Amiri — a terribly edgy streetwear-inspired luxe label that has been embraced by top athletes and musicians with gusto since its inception in 2013. The brand’s signature is its shotgun detailing: readily wearable pieces crafted from premium materials are taken to the Californian desert and then peppered with shotgun pellets to infuse them with some wayward attitude. For instance, if you take a closer look at the T-shirt that Ranbir has on, you will see that it is riddled with holes — well, that’s the shotgun detailing for you.

Keeping the distressed nature of the tee in mind, Ranbir teamed it with a pair of well-distressed jeans from Dsquared2. A ski hat and his absolute favourite pair of sneakers, adidas Air Yeezy Boost 750, rounded off his killer ensemble. So. Much. Swag. You like?

The collection includes smart wool topcoats, band-collar popovers, polo shirts, sharp suits and leather jackets tricked out with brass hardware.

But for many men, that same need to feel handsome in a suit is evident when throwing on a simple T-shirts and jeans—myself included. We don’t know about you lot, but the first thing we check out when we see a guy is his footwear. So, when we were going through the batch of photos of Shah Rukh Khan from the groundbreaking ceremony of the Bandra Bandstand beautification project recently, we managed to find something exciting to blog about from this rather everyday outfit of his.

He was wearing Golden Goose Deluxe Brand ‘Super Star’ sneakers, whose worn-in look fresh out of the box has gained the Italian label quite the cult following. The GGDB designers, the husband-wife team Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo, take premium quality leather and deploy them to classic sneakers silhouettes. They then distress it by hand to create the kind of abrasions that’d take you years to make yourself. The result is a luxury item with the patina of age and experience — but straight out of the box.

And oh, this isn’t the only pair of GGDB sneakers he has: in an IG video he posted a few weeks ago, he was seen playing with the ‘grey cord gum’ colourway of the Super Star model.

Then for his epic interview for Beneath The Surface with Anupama Chopra, he took another ‘Super Star’ model out for a spin: it’s the one in white leather with screen-printed star on the sides from quite a few seasons back.

The first time we chanced upon GGDB ‘Super Star’ sneakers in Bollywood was on Sidharth Malhotra. He seems to be a massive fan of the pre-distressed sneakers because we’ve now lost count of the numerous colourways he’s been spotted in. For instance, at the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil screening, he was wearing the ‘grey-neon’ colour way.

Aditya Roy Kapur too sported GGDB sneakers during Fitoor promotions earlier this year. His ones though were not the same silhouette: they are the 2.12s in ‘black fish/suede’ colourway.

The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil promotions have ended but Ranbir Kapoor’s style game is showing no signs of slowing down! For instance, we had this about a fortnight ago, and two more looks have shown up yesterday, all of which support our hypothesis.

First, was the launch of Twinkle Khanna’s second book The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad, for which Ranbir was kitted out in head-to-toe Tod’s. This is the first time we have seen a male Bollywood celebrity don Tod’s ready-to-wear — and that’s major.

After that was the taping of his Koffee With Karan episode, for which he went for monochrome Tom Ford threads and a swoonsome pair of Saint Laurent oxfords.

Next came yet another spiffy graphic number: a woollen double-breasted suit with shaded stripes from Canali’s Autumn/Winter’15 collection. One of the indisputable laws in the men’s style firmament is that if the suit is shouting, the rest of the outfit should be whispering. Ranveer abided by this law for the Befikre promotions in Bradford and in so doing, got himself yet another winning look.

The dull British winter must have gotten the better of his ever bright state of mind, ‘cos he stuck to the grey colour scheme for the next leg of Befikre promotions in the UK.

I’m a sucker for desi menswear, so it was such a delight for me to see all our Bollywood hombres kitted out in them for the Diwali parties over the weekend. But, not all of them fared uniformly well. In other words, here are the ones I liked more than the others.

Which one was your favourite? To be honest, I loved all of them! Anil Kapoor and Imran Khan were their usual dapper selves in Raghavendra Rathore, but it was such a welcome sight to see Farhan Akhar and Tiger Shroff clean up and that too so well. Sidharth Malhotra, Aditya Roy Kapur and Mohit Marwah cut wonderfully elegant figures, and we got yet another deftly-assembled subversive desi look from Ranbir Kapoor. Ranbir and Antar-Agni is fast becoming a devastatingly stylish combo!

But if you must put a gun on my head and ask me to pick just one, I’d go with Harshvardhan Kapoor. (After this, this, this, this, this, this, this and this, none of you surprised by that choice, are you? :-p) He looked just so dashing in that Antar-Agni jacket, Raghavendra Rathore kurta and breeches, and brown lace-ups from Zara.

Keeping up with Ranbir Kapoor’s sartorial game for the last few weeks has left me breathless! Since his stellar turn at The Kapil Sharma Show there has been many a modish looks, all steeped in high-end or niche brands. Hop on to check them out ;-)

A few talking points…

1) We see him sport OFF-WHITE c/o VIRGIL ABLOH™ a couple more times! He sported the black denim military jacket for a trip to Radio Mirchi headquarters, and the white-black ‘Diagonals’ lo-tops for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil promotions on the sets of Join The Game.

2) Speaking of promotions on the sets of Star Sports’ Join The Game programme, Ranbir wore a Turnbull & Asser number — and I couldn’t be more impressed! The reason being, Turnbull & Asser is one of the oldest gentlemen’s clothiers in the world with the added tag of having a Royal Warrant. Since its establishment in 1885, it has been favoured by illustrious figures, both real and fictional, such as Sir Winston Churchill and James Bond. It doesn’t get anymore select than this, does it? (Before Ranbir, only Imran Khan from Bollywood was spotted in Turnbull & Asser.) Just wish Ranbir had opted for his other Off-White sneakers instead of this pair — it would have made the look even slicker!

3) He sported merchandise from Belstaff’s Spring/Summer’17 collection that is yet to hit the stores, once again. It can’t get any more exclusive than this!

4) His desiwear game is untouchable!

To sum it up, yep, Ranbir has defo proved himself to be the ‘male Sonam Kapoor’ during the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil promotion trail. And his stylists, the fashionable duo of Vainglorious, have a massive role behind this — they seem to have gone to the four corners of the Earth to source stuff for him. Now put your feet up and pour yourselves a drink (or ten!), you two!

SO, which one was your favourite look of the lot? I can’t decide between the Shantanu & Nikhil number and the Antar-Agni one.

When Karan Johar tweeted this photo of Ranbir Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan and Ayan Mukerji on Wednesday, the first thought that went through our heads were: “Boy, does that make for one kick-ass film poster/album cover!” And then the dust settled and it occurred to us how swell Ranbir’s outfit actually was — wanna know why?

It’s because he was sporting Amiri — a terribly edgy streetwear-inspired luxe label that has been embraced by top athletes and musicians with gusto since its inception in 2013. The brand’s signature is its shotgun detailing: readily wearable pieces crafted from premium materials are taken to the Californian desert and then peppered with shotgun pellets to infuse them with some wayward attitude. For instance, if you take a closer look at the T-shirt that Ranbir has on, you will see that it is riddled with holes — well, that’s the shotgun detailing for you.

Keeping the distressed nature of the tee in mind, Ranbir teamed it with a pair of well-distressed jeans from Dsquared2. A ski hat and his absolute favourite pair of sneakers, adidas Air Yeezy Boost 750, rounded off his killer ensemble. So. Much. Swag. You like?

We don’t know if you remember the news last year that Antonio Banderas enrolled himself into prestigious Central Saint Martins in London to learn the art of crafting menswear. The fruits of his labour are here for us to see as he has designed a capsule collection for Danish label Selected Homme.

Designed to be a lifestyle clothing solution for everyday men, the collection is peppered with signatures of the actor himself that appear throughout subtle design details. The collection includes smart wool topcoats, band-collar popovers, polo shirts, sharp suits and leather jackets tricked out with brass hardware.

“It’s no secret that I live part of my life on the red carpet, so I am automatically tempted by great tailoring. But for many men, that same need to feel handsome in a suit is evident when throwing on a simple T-shirts and jeans—myself included. We’ve taken that approach and applied it to all parts of life, attempting to capture that cocktail moment in everything from jeans to leather jackets to, of course, impeccably tailored suits. We don’t know about you lot, but the first thing we check out when we see a guy is his footwear. So, when we were going through the batch of photos of Shah Rukh Khan from the groundbreaking ceremony of the Bandra Bandstand beautification project recently, we managed to find something exciting to blog about from this rather everyday outfit of his.

He was wearing Golden Goose Deluxe Brand ‘Super Star’ sneakers, whose worn-in look fresh out of the box has gained the Italian label quite the cult following. The GGDB designers, the husband-wife team Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo, take premium quality leather and deploy them to classic sneakers silhouettes. They then distress it by hand to create the kind of abrasions that’d take you years to make yourself. The result is a luxury item with the patina of age and experience — but straight out of the box.

And oh, this isn’t the only pair of GGDB sneakers he has: in an IG video he posted a few weeks ago, he was seen playing with the ‘grey cord gum’ colourway of the Super Star model.

Then for his epic interview for Beneath The Surface with Anupama Chopra, he took another ‘Super Star’ model out for a spin: it’s the one in white leather with screen-printed star on the sides from quite a few seasons back.

The first time we chanced upon GGDB ‘Super Star’ sneakers in Bollywood was on Sidharth Malhotra. He seems to be a massive fan of the pre-distressed sneakers because we’ve now lost count of the numerous colourways he’s been spotted in. For instance, at the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil screening, he was wearing the ‘grey-neon’ colour way.

Aditya Roy Kapur too sported GGDB sneakers during Fitoor promotions earlier this year. His ones though were not the same silhouette: they are the 2.12s in ‘black fish/suede’ colourway.

The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil promotions have ended but Ranbir Kapoor’s style game is showing no signs of slowing down! For instance, we had this about a fortnight ago, and two more looks have shown up yesterday, all of which support our hypothesis.

First, was the launch of Twinkle Khanna’s second book The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad, for which Ranbir was kitted out in head-to-toe Tod’s. This is the first time we have seen a male Bollywood celebrity don Tod’s ready-to-wear — and that’s major.

After that was the taping of his Koffee With Karan episode, for which he went for monochrome Tom Ford threads and a swoonsome pair of Saint Laurent oxfords.

Between the two looks, which one you liked better?
